Considering Sustainability In Your Business? - Creating a Plan May 2021
***Please note, to book onto this event you must be a resident in Somerset, or your start-up business must have a registered Company’s House address in Somerset (this does not include North Somerset).***
Businesses of any size have a responsibility to consider the impact of their operation on the environment, and customers are often interested in how you take care of the surrounding area and your local community.
It’s a good idea to think about these factors from the start, whilst creating your business plan, so you can future proof your business.
What will I learn?
This workshop will focus on:
• Considering Net Zero at the start of your business journey.
• Including the Social Value of choosing suppliers that are local.
• Bringing communities together.
• Carbon calculators.
• Capturing the positive changes and developments within your business.
• B Corp and other accreditations.
What will I take away?
We will think about how using local suppliers can create strong supplier relationships, how including a carbon footprint plan at the start of your business idea will help you develop a business for the future and consider how you can add value to your community.
Who can attend?
Our series of workshops are open to green and other pre-start up and start-up businesses and social enterprises from residents in Somerset, or if a start-up, with a registered Company’s House address in Somerset.
